Austin Rolling, CEO of Outfield, has had an entrepreneurial itch since an early age. In the first edition of Closer’s Coffee, Carlos Figarella and Austin touch on humble beginnings, life after grad school, and the bootstrapped history of Outfield and it’s rise from an Aggie app to a globally adopted CRM solution for field teams.

Austin’s story begins in a household of 8 siblings learning under the guidance of their entrepreneurial father whom was also a preacher. He shares tales of his building blocks that led to the pursuit of a graduate degree from Texas A&M. The road ahead was no easy task as he found himself struggling to make ends meet for months after graduating. After obtaining a job at Beats, Austin regained momentum and found the hope he had been looking for.

He continued working on Outfield at that time and built it to where it was self-sustaining and could grow with the initial vision he had in College Station.

Build a great product, build the infrastructure, and build a brand that can scale… This model remains true for both the spirit of Outfield and the spirit of their CEO.
